The RoboFuse platform is managing Internet of Things Assets and their associated definitions as well it monitors generated data.
An asset (IoT) is any leased or owned resource whose availability at the right time and place is important for your business operations and profitability.
RoboFuse introduces a software service for modeling assets modeled using the following data:
- Categories of assets;
- Asset templates;
- Asset
- Asset location – position (address and / or GPS position).
Each asset can send to the RoboFuse platform heartbeat data:
- Alarms
- Events
- Error
- State
Asset can also produce different measurements using its internal sensors:
- Temperature
- Carbon dioxide
- Humidity
- Position (GPS)
- Light
- Motion
- Voltage
RoboFuse platform provides support for:
- Asset management (api.robofuse.com and developer.robofuse.com)
- Register / unregistered Assets
- Manage Asset data
- Asset data-store of measurements – datastore.robofuse.com
An asset can communicate with the RoboFuse platform using:
- Web of Things – preferred method
- MQTT – for sending the measurements and getting commands
Asset that send data as:
- one measurement
- example: one-point temperature
- multiple measurement
- we can call them gateways because Asset is managing different protocols / sensors / data transformation etc.
